Community Consultation
Welcome to the community room section of our website.
After feedback from the local community and users of Oaks Meadow during our survey of August 2025, we have decided to pursue a potential community room, which would be sited on the meadow.
The idea is to create a space which would provide a focus for the local community to enjoy indoor activites, within the surroundings that we are continuing to develop around the meadow.
We are at the concept stage of the project, whereby we have engaged with Mid-Suffolk District Council's planning team, and Plaice Design architects, to come up with some concept designs for a community room based on the needs of, and potential uses for, the local community (taken from the August survey feedback).
Plaice Design architects have provided three suggested concept designs, which we are now asking the local community to take a look at, and provide their feedback and thoughts on.
The three options can be viewed online by clicking each of the Concept Options (1, 2A and 2B) below. Each will open a new window on your computer/device - probably best seen on a computer screen. You should be able to zoom in/out, and move around each design page using scroll bars.
Clicking on the fourth link will show examples of finishings for other community structures, with a range of cladding and roofing styles which might be appropriate to use.
We have included a link below to a Microsoft Word based feedback form which can be used to send us thoughts, ideas and comments on the designs and finishes.
